What’s new: Case Theaters, Collaboration Station, Mobile Meeting App, Conference Notes App

SubArticle1_networking_largeYour education continues throughout the International Stroke Conference, where the latest in technology, services and products await you.

Case Theaters

The in-depth and interactive Case Theaters provide review and insight into the decision-making, technical aspects and management of common procedures and highlight areas of evolving innovation, giving attendees additional knowledge about best practices for the day-to-day care of their patients. Each of the two 45-minute Case Theaters, held in the Product Case Theater, include a 15-minute presentation, with the remainder of the time devoted to a panel discussion and a question-and-answer period. Panels will examine:

  • Patient presentation and procedure decision
  • Procedure execution with exploration of key technical aspects, devices or patient aspects, and intra-procedural management
  • Post-procedural care and outcomes

Collaboration Station

Thirty-five subcommittees focus on targeted areas of content for AHA. Topics include heart failure, interventional cardiology, acute cardiac care, imaging, cardiac rehab, electrophysiology, hypertension, molecular determinants of disease, social determinant of disease, prevention, obesity, diabetes, physical activity, nutrition, stroke and many more. Join us for networking and light refreshments.

Two apps available for attendees

The International Stroke Conference provides two apps to help you make the most of your time — before, during and after the meeting.

Mobile Meeting Guide App

The improved Mobile Meeting Guide App assists you to engage with education opportunities, navigate the meeting while on site, explore the 2015 Science & Technology Hall exhibitors and connect with other attendees on site. The app also will allow you to hear live streaming from educational sessions and upload photos of your ISC experience to various social networks. The app is available by searching “AHA Events” in the Apple App Store, Google Play and on BlackBerry.

Conference Notes App

Created especially for events like the International Stroke Conference, Conference Notes is an iPad app and accompanying website designed to promote scientific exchange by unlocking the full potential of the content seen at medical conferences. Presenters can upload presentations so attendees can follow them on their iPads in real time and make notes that are saved alongside the slides, and backed up to a password-protected website. After the conference ends, attendees can revisit and replay presentations for up to three months. The app is compatible with iPad, iPad Air and iPad Mini running iOS 7 and iOS 8.

Register early and save

Combine the exceptional educational knowledge with these exciting new offerings, and you will not want to miss ISC 2015 — the world’s largest meeting dedicated to the science and treatment of cerebrovascular disease. And when you register by Jan. 21, you’ll save $100 on your registration.
